Aprilia SR 150 Scooter Spied Undisguised

The Italian two-wheeler manufacturer, Aprilia had recently unveiled its Aprilia SR 150 scooter at the Auto Expo 2016. The true fact about this scooter is that it will be manufactured at the Piaggio’s plant in Baramati, Maharashtra, India.

Now, after a month it is spied without any camouflage before its August 2016 launch at one of its dealerships in Pune from where it was being taken for its homologation at ARAI. The scooter had no Aprilia or SR 150 stickers on it except for the Aprilia’s logo on its analog speedometer.

The scooter gets a European contemporary design which looks sporty and aggressive. The turn indicators are placed on its handlebar while its headlight houses in the scooter’s front apron. Halogen bulbs are used in its headlights, front and rear turn indicators and in its taillight too.

The Aprilia SR 150 gets telescopic forks on its front and 14-inch black alloys with tubeless tyres are equipped on its front and rear. The scooter gets a carbureted 150cc, air-cooled, 3 valve engine which produces 11.4 BHP @ 7000 rpm of power and 11.5 Nm @ 5500 rpm of torque.  The scooter also gets a 220 mm front disc brake and a 140 mm rear drum brake.

The scooter is scheduled to launch in the month of August this year with an expected ex-showroom price tag of Rs. 80,000/- to Rs. 1 lakh.
