Ninja 400 ABS KRT Edition

Kawasaki has launched the new Ninja 400 in India at a price tag of Rs. 4.69 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike will be made available only in KRT-edition green colour in India and will be sold along with its younger sibling, Ninja 300. The company has also announced a discount of up to Rs. 20,000/- for the customers who book this bike in the month of April 2018.

The new Ninja 400 gets a sharper and sportier styling, split-LED headlights, and a part-analogue-part-digital instrument cluster.

The Ninja 400 is powered by an all-new liquid-cooled, 399cc, a parallel-twin engine that makes 48.3 BHP of power at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 38 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox with slipper-clutch as standard.

The Ninja 400 is expensive by Rs. 1.10 lakhs than the Ninja 300 but is lighter by 6kg at 168kg kerb. The new trellis frame and a smaller 14-litre fuel tank contribute to the loss in its weight. Unlike the Ninja 300, Ninja 400 gets fatter 41mm telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear. The Ninja 400 also features a larger 310mm disc brake at the front and a 210mm disc brake at the rear, while dual-channel ABS is offered as standard.
