Mahindra today launched the much awaited and much spied sub-4 meter SUV – the TUV300 in India today at an introductory price of Rs. 6.90 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Pune).
The TUV300’s design has been inspired from a battle tank that lends it a tough, bold and stylish true-blue SUV character. The TUV300 stands for Tough Utility Vehicle while the number 300 is just a part of naming nomenclature as that of XUV500.
The car is manufactured at Mahindra’s manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune. The TUV300 boasts a host of features like – Bold grille with chrome inserts, imposing bumpers, static bending headlamps, stylish ski racks, sporty alloy wheels, tail gate mounted spare wheel and much more.
The engine of the TUV300 is a 1.5L mHawk engine. It delivers 84 BHP of power and class leading 230 Nm of torque. It also offers first in class AMT transmission and ECO mode for much significant driving.
On the safety side the TUV300 is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, CBC, high-strength steel body shell, crumple zones and strong side intrusion beams.
The car also gets brake energy regeneration, reverse parking sensors, voice messaging system, driver information system, follow me and lead me home headlamps, micro-hybrid technology and Mahindra’s bluesense mobile app.
TUV300 will be available in the following variants – T4, T4+, T6, T6+, T6+ autoSHIFT, T8 and T8 autoSHIFT. The car is on sale all over India.
