Nissan has launched its flagship sportscar, the GT-R in India at a price tag of Rs. 1.99 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car will be available in its European spec Premium Edition only.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R is produced at Nissan’s state of the art plant in Tochigi, Japan. The car will be brought to India as a CBU (Completely Built-up Unit). Tthe car will be initially sold through the Nissan Dealership in Noida, National Capital Region (NCR). This dealership will also house India’s first Nissan High Performance Centre (NHPC), which will be solely responsible for the service of the car.
Bookings for the 2017 GT-R were begun in September, with the down payment of Rs. 25 lakhs. The first 2017 Nissan GT-R is bought by Nissan’s brand ambassador and Bollywood’s action hero, John Abraham.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R is powered by a hand-built 3.8L, V6, 24-valve, twin-turbocharged engine which produces 570 PS at 6800 rpm and 637 Nm of torque. The engine is handcrafted by master craftsmen in Japan known as “Takumi”. The engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission and an AWD layout. The car is equipped with titanium mufflers and Active Sound Enhancement (ASE) for more enhanced driving experience.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R does the 0-100 km/h sprint within 3 seconds and tops out at 315 km/h.
Unlike any other sportscar, it is a 2+2 seater and it gets BOSE audio system with 11 speakers.
