1. SRT Charger Hellcat – 328.236 kmph

If you want to go really, really fast, be four-up, but not have to crawl round the front seat when getting in, the new SRT Charger Hellcat is the new king.

Thanks to Dodge’s power mad SRT department, the Charger has had heart surgery to squeeze the same supercharged 6.2-litre, 707bhp, 560lb ft HEMI V8 from the tyre-smoking Challenger Hellcat, into a car normally reserved for taxi drivers.

0-100 kmph? 3.7 seconds. Top speed? 328.236 kmph. That makes it the fastest and most powerful production four-door in the world.

2. Aston Martin Rapide S – 326.627 kmph

Aston’s incredibly elegant Rapide S recently got some tweaks to make it go faster. It got a brand-new gearbox, reworked suspension and a few other electronic tweaks under the skin. This means that the 6.0-litre V12 coupled to a new and impressive eight-speed automatic from ZF allows the Aston to creep over the magic double-tonne, to a 326.627 kmph maximum.

3. Bentley Flying Spur – 321.8 kmph

If one wants to be in the four-door 321.8 kmph club but appreciates luxury, we’d recommend the Bentley Flying Spur. You can leave Jives to do the driving as you sit in the back watching two 10-inch screens, surfing the internet on the on-board Wi-Fi whilst your buttocks are heated/cooled/massaged in the reclining rear seats. All while the 616bhp, 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 winds out to see zero to 100 kmph off in 4.3 seconds and on to a 321.8 kmph top end.

4. Porsche Panamera Turbo S – 307.319 kmph

Its looks may be polarizing, but there’s no doubting that Porsche’s Panamera Turbo S is quick. With 543bhp and 590lb ft of torque when the twin-turbo V8 is cooking, 0-100 kmph is completed in 3.8 seconds (which is pretty bonkers for a 1995kg people/load lugger) and you’ll sail to a top speed of 307.319 kmph.

5. Maserati Quattroporte GTS – 305.71 kmph

Only the Italians could legitimately get away with calling a four-door car ‘four-door’. And it’s quite a four-door, with a 523bhp twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8, overseen by a former Ferrari F1 engine wizard.

As such, this Italian four-door will go from 0-100kmph in 4.7 seconds, and on to a top speed of 305.71 kmph. That’s more than fast enough.

6. Audi RS7 – 304.905 kmph

As Fast Audis go, this new Audi RS7 is really very Fast. It has a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 producing 560bhp and 513lb ft of torque. Which is plenty, and allied with that four-wheel-drive system, will accelerate from 0-100kmph in 3.9 seconds. Ludicrous, then. What’s more ludicrous? A 304.905 kmph top speed – as long as you tick the right option box.
