The only drivable ‘Eleanor’ Ford Mustang to have survived the filming ordeal of 2000’s hit movie Gone In 60 Seconds went up for auction over the weekend at Mecum’s first-ever collector car auction in Austin, Texas, but unfortunately for its owner the car failed to sell. That means the last time it changed hands was in May of last year, when it passed the auction block for a cool $1 million.

Eleven of the fictional Eleanor Mustangs were created for the movie, although only three of these were working cars, and two of these were destroyed in the climactic bridge jump and junkyard crusher scenes. The surviving one was lead actor Nicholas Cage’s primary ‘beauty’ car, used mostly for close ups and later promotional efforts.

While the Eleanor didn’t sell, a number of other interesting cars did manage to cross the auction block. The highest bid was $310,000 for a 2006 Ford GT with just 267 miles on the clock—yep, that means the car was driven on average just 33 miles per year. A 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda went for $275,000 and a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette with a split-window went for $165,000.
