Kawasaki has launched the classic Z900RS motorcycle in India at Rs. 15.3 lakhs (ex-showroom). The new Kawasaki Z900RS pays homage to the 1973 Z1 900 motorcycle, by looking classically like it but with a modern engine.
The Kawasaki Z900RS is powered by a 948cc, liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder engine, as seen on the Z900, which produces 109 BHP at 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 98.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. The power has been reduced to extract more mid-range range, i.e. below 7000 rpm.
The Z900RS’ look has been inspired by the original 1973 model and hence great attention has been paid to the details of every bit of this motorcycle. It looks classic as it gets a 4-into-1 exhaust. It is equipped with advanced features like the KRTC (Kawasaki Traction Control), LED headlight, multi-function LCD screen which sits between the dual analogue speedometer and tachometer dials.
In India, the classic Z900RS will be available in candytone brown and candytone orange shades and will be delivered on order basis. Deliveries will commence in July if the orders are placed before the end of February 2018.
