The TCS or traction control system is a secondary function of ABS. As the name suggests, the TCS is used to maintain the traction between wheels and road. If the TCS computer detects one or more wheels running at a speed faster than the others, it signals the ABS ECU to apply higher brake pressure to wheels spinning with less traction. This system is used mainly as a safety feature.
