TVS Motor, the Indian origin company has been doing pretty well with its Jupiter scooter after its launch in September 2013. The scooter being mainly focused on male buyers has recently achieved the fastest milestone of crossing 5 lakh sales within its 18 months period of launch. It is the fastest scooter to achieve such a milestone.
The TVS Jupiter is the most awarded scooter by the critics for its outstanding performance and has also impressed the buyers by its impressive features.
Jupiter under its seat houses an all-aluminium CVT engine which is low-friction 110cc engine producing 8.2 PS power and 8 Nm of peak torque. The scooter is frugal and returns an average of 62kmpl.
On the occasion, the company stated that “a lot of customer insights went into the making of the Jupiter and the 5 lakh sales mark is the customer’s testament towards the product’s performance and quality”.
In the scooter’s 18 months launch, the TVS Jupiter also managed to gain some serious credentials to its name and has been recognised as one of the top quality scooters in the JD Power India Two-Wheeler Initial Quality Study 2015. The company also introduced two new special colours on the scooter including sparkling silver and matte beige, promoting the TVS Jupiter effectively while there was also a special edition version launched earlier this year to celebrate the scooter’s first year anniversary.
