Suzuki has unveiled the V-Strom 800DE Tour, a touring-focused version of its standard road bike, designed to accommodate extensive luggage needs for long journeys.

The Tour edition of the V-Strom 800DE is outfitted with a total luggage capacity of 112 liters, comprising a 38-liter top box and two side panniers, each holding 37 liters. This enhancement aims to appeal to those who enjoy lengthy rides with a companion, offering ample storage for all their traveling necessities.

The launch of the Tour variant represents Suzuki’s strategy to offer a more cost-effective solution for riders needing substantial luggage capacity. Previously, these luggage accessories were sold separately for the road model, but incorporating them into a single variant has effectively lowered the overall cost for consumers.

Suzuki’s Indian division recently launched the V-Strom 800DE at an introductory price of Rs. 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), positioning it as the most competitively priced multi-cylinder premium motorcycle in the market. Currently, the lineup includes only the adventure model, characterized by its 21-inch front wheel. Depending on market response, Suzuki might consider introducing the road variant to the Indian market, targeting riders who prefer on-road adventures. This move could position the V-Strom 800DE as a formidable competitor against the likes of the Kawasaki Versys 650, potentially attracting a significant customer base looking for a versatile touring motorcycle.
