Mercedes-Benz has launched its new Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 in India at a price of Rs. 77.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The SLC 43 is the facelifted version of the SLK roadster and has been rebadged under the company’s new nomenclature system. The SLC 43 is also the first 43 badged model to be launched in the country by the company.
The SLC 43 is powered by a 3L Bi-Turbo V6 engine instead of the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 engine of the SLK 55.
The new 3L V6 motor produces 367 BHP and 520 Nm of torque and comes paired to the company’s new 9G-Tronic (nine-speed) automatic gearbox. The 0-100 km/h sprint is achieved in only 4.7 seconds (claimed) and does a top speed of 250 km/h (restricted). The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43’s folding hard-top can be operated at speeds of upto 40 km/h.
The front and rear get revised bumpers and the headlights get the LED DRLS and taillights too get the LED detailing. The side profile still resembles the SLK while the whole new SLC 43 looks fresh and sporty.
On the inside, the SLC 43 gets the AMG interiors like, AMG seats, steering wheel, instrument cluster, driving modes and the new SLC 43 gets a more sportier body kit than the standard SLC. The hard-top is now automatic and does not needs any manual operations like before.
