The fourth edition of Pune Invitational Supercross is all set to happen in the ‘Oxford of the East’ this year and also promises to provide more thrilling experience to the audience than ever before.

Vilo Events declared the launch of the fourth edition of The Pune Invitational Supercross League 2017 and it will be held from November 17th  to 19th at Royal Palms, Mundhwa, Pune. It will be a three-day affair which will make sure that you have a great weekend. This league bids to be a mega event as it will be a mix of flamboyance and glamour and will be also be called as the “Great Indian Supercross Festival”.

With motocross racing, there will be freestyle motocross shows every afternoon, food stalls, music, product launches, exhibits, various performances and of course the supercross models. This action-packed event will also showcase some best brands, artists, and racers.

The Pune Invitational Supercross League is the most talked about supercross event in India and also the first of its kind franchise-based league format in the supercross racing event in the world. The event also promises to revolutionize the sport of motocross and supercross in India this time with the amount of entertainment it promises to offer.

The 2017 league will see a total of 53 national riders and 11 international riders who will compete against each other for the top honors. The event will also witness two freestyle motocross riders from Germany. The teams who will partici[ate in this league this year are the defending champions Bhalla Royale, INK Racing, P. B. Racing, Team Greeshm and Lilleria Motorsports. These riders will have to ride six motos over these three days and the team riders will earn points as per their performance in each round. Points will be given for each of the races and the rider who will earn the highest points will be declared as the winner of this league and so the overall championship gets a great competitive edge. The auction of the riders will be held on November 3rd in Pune

The major attraction of this year’s league is said to be the Junior category’s competition which will see races between the very young and talented riders like Yuvraj Kondhe, Karan Karle, Ikshan Shanbag and Sarthak Chavan and amongst these boys, there will also be one girl rider, Tanika Shanbhag. Apart from these young hearts, rider Rugved Barguje will be the face of Pune in the competition amongst top riders like Harith Noah, V.S. Naresh, and R. Natraj.

To add glamour to this sporting event, eight supercross models have been selected after several rounds of auditions to be the board girls for the races of this league.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Eeshan Lokhande, former international rider, and Event Director & Partner, Vilo Events said, “Supercross as a sport in India is once again gaining popularity. Pune has always been the mecca of supercross and our endeavor is to carry the legacy forward. The new format promises to excite everyone and would further entertain the crowds which have witnessed constant growth.The main aim is to give people a dose of pulsating racing and entertainment at the same place and at the same time. It’s time to give the riders and spectators along with the sponsor a better platform for racing. SX – 2 Group ‘A’ INDIAN RIDERS Foreign Experts– Class-2 Foreign motorcycles up to 500cc – 2&4 Stroke.

SX – 3 Group ‘C’ Class – 3 INDIAN RIDERS Indian Motorcycles up to 260cc – 2&4 Stroke. INDIAN Experts.

SX- J Juniors Group “A” Class 4 INDIAN RIDERS Under 15 years up to  250cc 2&4 Stroke

SX Class – Group ‘A’  International RIDERS – Class-5 Foreign motorcycles up to 500cc – 2&4 Stroke

The Pune Invitational Supercross League is held under the aid of The Federation of Motor Sports Club of India (FMSCI) and organized under the guidance of the Indian and International Federation rules and regulations.
