Kawasaki W800 Spotted At A Dealership, To Be Launched Soon

As our nation likes retro styled motorcycles with modern technology, so now Kawasaki is planning to launch their W800, a retro-styled classic motorcycle in India. The bike was spotted at Kawasaki’s dealership in Pune and it will be launched in early 2017. We can expect it to be priced around Rs. 10 lakhs, ex-showroom.

Kawasaki Motor of Indonesia launched the W800 at the 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

The Kawasaki W800 is powered by a 773cc, air-cooled, fuel injected, V-twin engine. It produces 48 PS of power at 6500 rpm and 60 Nm of torque at 2500 rpm. 5-speed manual transmission pwers the wheel and it is equipped with single 300 mm disc brake at front and drum brake at rear. Fuel tank is of 14 liters, seat height is at 790 mm and ground clearance is of 125 mm.

It features round headlamp, oval shaped taillight, chrome front and rear mudguards, chrome silencers, long seat and tank with knee paddings.

The Kawasaki W800 will compete against the likes of the Triumph Bonneville range and other motorcycles in its segment and as of now no more details have emerged, neither if it will be brought in India via the CKD or the CBU route.
