The city of Pune, also known the Oxford of the East is all set to play host to the inaugural round of newly introduced JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series from 23rd to 24th April ’16.
The main moto of this national series is to feature single make 4-stroke karts at a level of playing field and also to make this series the most affordable karting championship in the world.
The first round is scheduled to happen in Pune from 23rd to 24th of April ’16, as said before and then the second round is scheduled to happen in Goa and then in Vadodara, Ludhiana and the last round will happen in Delhi.
This National series will comprise of 3 categories – Pro Cadet for racers between the age group of 7-12 years, Pro Juniors for racers aged between 12 to 16 years and Pro Senior for racers above the age of 16 years. In addition to these three Pro classes, there will be seven other classes of Support racers which will further take the appeal of the JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series. Their entry fees is said to be of only Rs. 1770/-. The Support classes will include Senior Amateur, Interschool, Corporate, Masters (32+ years old), Women’s and Media (Press).
Rayo Racing has taken this initiative to make such a motorsport which is a root of many other motorsports, accessable to all the ambitious racers and with them has partnered the JK Tyre. The series will be powered by Tata Motors #madeofgreat. The winners of the JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series will get a direct sponsored entry in the JK Tyre National Rotax Max Karting Championship, which is country’s only karting championship which is recognised nationally.
